Submer appoints Jean-Marc Denis to lead global AI datacentre push
Submer has appointed Jean-Marc Denis as Chief Product Officer, tasking him with leading the company's global product strategy and supporting the growth of its artificial intelligence datacentre solutions. Denis brings over 30 years of experience in high-performance computing (HPC) to the role, reflecting Submer's focus on expanding its capabilities across the datacentre infrastructure market.
Leadership background
Denis has held senior roles at several technology firms, including leading HPC and artificial intelligence cloud solutions at Viridien and holding leadership positions at Atos, Silicon Graphics, Compaq, Sun Microsystems, Hewlett-Packard, and Bull. His tenure at Bull included launching its HPC business in 2004, contributing to the development of advanced supercomputing systems globally. Submer's decision to bring him onboard is seen as an effort to strengthen the company's position as a provider of datacentre infrastructure that supports demanding AI workloads.
Product strategy
As Chief Product Officer, Denis will oversee the company's product roadmap, guiding technical development and the execution of its datacentre infrastructure portfolio. This includes Submer's shift towards delivering integrated, full-stack solutions that encompass concept design, thermal architecture, and on-site deployment for AI-ready facilities.
"There's never been a more exciting time to join Submer. Submer's growth is remarkable. The company has evolved from an immersion liquid cooling technology provider into a true end-to-end datacentre partner, uniquely positioned to define how AI-ready infrastructure is designed and built," said Jean-Marc Denis, Chief Product Officer, Submer.
AI datacentre expansion
The company has increased its activity across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia. It is delivering projects that support organisations seeking scalable, high-performance datacentre infrastructure for artificial intelligence workloads. Submer has aimed to position itself as a trusted advisor for customers transitioning to AI-ready facilities requiring sustainable and efficient computing solutions.
Company direction
Submer has expanded from its roots in liquid cooling technology into broader datacentre solutions. The company now provides support throughout the datacentre lifecycle, including design, build, and operational phases for large-scale and edge computing environments. Its focus remains on enabling datacentres to run more efficiently, with lower costs and improved sustainability metrics.
Patrick Smets, Chief Executive Officer at Submer, commented on the appointment: "Jean-Marc is a veteran in high-performance computing and product leadership. His experience brings new strength and momentum to our end-to-end offering for AI datacentres. We're thrilled to welcome him to the team and look forward to the impact he'll have in shaping Submer's next phase of growth."
