F&W Networks, Fusion Fibre team up on Southern England rollout
F&W Networks and Fusion Fibre Group have announced a strategic partnership to increase the rollout of full-fibre broadband in Southern England.
The collaboration between the two companies targets areas that have historically struggled with slow, unreliable connections due to legacy copper infrastructure. By working together, F&W Networks and Fusion Fibre Group aim to improve broadband access for thousands of homes and businesses across both urban centres and more remote communities such as High Wycombe, Crawley, Horsham, and Ealing.
Expanding fibre coverage
Under the new arrangement, Fusion Fibre Group will integrate its services with F&W Networks' open access fibre infrastructure, which currently spans six counties and serves over 30 towns and cities. This infrastructure already passes more than 410,000 premises, offering symmetrical gigabit-speed connectivity and using technology that can scale to deliver future multi-gigabit broadband services.
The partnership has also been designed to streamline the operational process for connecting new customers, reducing time to market and simplifying access for those previously limited by older broadband technologies. The companies have indicated that this will help address gaps in service where copper-based coverage remains widespread, bringing improved digital connectivity to both residential and business users.
Operational efficiencies
F&W Networks and Fusion Fibre Group have collaborated to provide straightforward access to the underlying fibre infrastructure. This is expected to not only accelerate the rollout by Fusion Fibre Group, but to ensure that end users across a broad geographic area will experience consistent, high-quality service.
Commitment to digital inclusion
José Luis San Martín, CEO at F&W Networks, commented: 'Our mission is to deliver future-ready digital infrastructure to communities that need it most. We're delighted to partner with Fusion Fibre Group, whose customer fist ethos and rapid growth make then and ideal collaborator in our ongoing network expansion. Together, we'll bring high quality full fibre connectivity to thousands more homes and businesses.'
Fusion Fibre Group's role as a broadband provider will be enhanced by leveraging F&W Networks' extensive infrastructure. The agreement is expected to contribute to the connectivity and digital inclusion of communities across the South of England, ensuring that faster and more reliable broadband services reach locations that have historically had limited options.
Adrian Marsham, Managing Director at Fusion Fibre Group, added: "We're thrilled to partner with F&W Networks, whose commitment to building high quality fibre infrastructure aligns perfectly with our mission. This partnership enables us to extend out full fibre services to more communities across the South of England, ensuring that both rural and growing urban centres benefit from the kind of full fibre connectivity that transforms lives."
The collaboration also supports both companies' stated commitment to advancing digital transformation and improving the experience for users. By replacing old copper-based systems with full fibre connectivity, the partnership aims to support innovation, economic development and stronger digital infrastructure across towns and cities in the region.
The partnership between F&W Networks and Fusion Fibre Group is considered a significant step for both parties as they continue to expand their presence in Southern England. The rollout will serve both residential consumers and businesses, reflecting a growing demand for high-speed, reliable broadband as a foundation for digital services, remote work and economic activity in various communities.
