Gamma Communications has partnered with Sky Business Wholesale to add Sky FTTP to its FibreXchange platform, expanding connectivity options available to its UK reseller network.

The agreement gives Gamma partners access to Sky Business Wholesale's broadband and Ethernet capabilities through the existing platform. It is intended to simplify supplier access, ordering and support as businesses move towards fibre connectivity.

Sam Weller, Director of Sky Wholesale Services, said, "As businesses modernise their connectivity and adopt fibre, partners need suppliers that combine network scale, innovation and expert support. We're delighted to announce our partnership with Gamma, bringing Sky Business Wholesale's broadband and Ethernet capabilities to Gamma's partners and the wider channel community, helping them unlock new growth opportunities and deliver better outcomes for their customers."

The partnership adds to Gamma's connectivity portfolio, which includes Managed 10Gb Ethernet and network options available through FibreXchange. The company is seeking to give resellers greater flexibility when supplying business connections while reducing the complexity of provisioning and ongoing support.

Webex milestone

Gamma has been recognised by Cisco as the world's largest Webex Wholesale Provider, following the platform's expansion to 100,000 active users.

The milestone comes 12 months after Webex for Gamma launched, marking progress in the company's unified communications offering.

John Murphy, CEO of Gamma Business, said, "We had over 100 early adopters as part of our program before we even launched the Webex product," said Murphy. "But really, that was you trusting us to take a global platform like Cisco Webex and make that work for the channel. It's been our most successful product launch ever."

Gamma is also expanding its communications portfolio with Webex CX and Horizon CX, powered by Daktela. These services are intended to help resellers address customer experience requirements beyond traditional voice and unified communications.

AI development

Gamma outlined further developments across artificial intelligence, security and connectivity, including AI Concierge, a platform-independent AI voice agent.

The system can answer common customer questions, capture information and manage bookings. The offering is designed to help businesses automate routine customer interactions without being tied to a single platform.

Other developments include additional security capabilities and 10Gb Ethernet services. Gamma also identified Cura AI and AI Guard as roadmap projects as it continues to develop its technology portfolio.

The company is investing in application programming interfaces (APIs), partner portals, service management tools and data insights. These investments are intended to simplify interactions between Gamma and its resellers while helping partners identify opportunities within their existing customer bases.

Research presented by Dom Black of Cavell examined changes in business technology purchasing, including opportunities for resellers to maintain communications revenue while expanding into adjacent services. Customer experience and automation were identified as areas for further growth.

Partner support

Gamma's partner strategy also includes changes to how resellers access technical expertise and explore its services. A redesigned Experience Zone gave attendees opportunities to see product demonstrations and speak directly with Gamma and its suppliers.

The programme included sessions on migration, connectivity, AI adoption, Cyber Essentials and selling to the public sector. Other discussions focused on the customer experience market and the experiences of resellers Focus and Flotek as they expand their businesses.

Gamma Managing Director of Gamma Business Will Morey and Murphy discussed changes in customer purchasing decisions, with businesses increasingly looking for technology that addresses broader operational requirements rather than individual products.

The company also highlighted the different needs of specialist resellers, managed service providers and businesses serving specific sectors. Its stated approach is to provide support that reflects the commercial models and growth plans of different partners.

"We know and understand that trust isn't something we win once and keep. It's earned every day," said Morey.
