Huawei explores 5G & AI tech integration at MWC 2025

Today

Huawei is engaging carriers, industry partners, and opinion leaders in discussions on the integration of 5G and AI technologies during MWC Barcelona 2025 to explore new business growth opportunities.

The Chinese technology firm is presenting a range of solutions, including AI-to-X, AI-Centric Network solutions, and AI-powered Operations & Maintenance (O&M).

The AI-to-X encompasses AI-to-Consumers, AI-to-Businesses, and AI-to-Homes, aiming to enable carriers to expand their services into more targeted domains. The AI-Centric Network solution supports carriers in building robust networks that meet the demands of new AI applications.

Additionally, the AI-powered O&M is designed to help carriers achieve fully intelligent network operations.

There is a significant development in AI models and applications that are propelling new waves of innovation across various sectors.

"Accelerating the Intelligent World" is Huawei's theme for its showcase this year, featuring a diverse array of digital infrastructure and service application innovations for individuals, homes, and businesses, along with success stories co-created with customers and partners.

The proliferation of 5G users globally surpassed 2.1 billion by the end of 2024, with numbers continuing to rise. Huawei is actively collaborating with carriers to innovate both business and network models.

This collaboration aims at transitioning carriers from just offering mobile Internet services to embracing mobile AI.

Commercial 5G-Advanced (5G-A) services have already been launched in over 200 cities worldwide by pioneering carriers. These services provide optimised experiences for consumers in activities like livestreaming, gaming, and business travel, thereby generating new revenue streams for carriers through personalised offerings.

Huawei's partnerships span across China, Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia Pacific region to develop innovative experience monetisation models, define novel application scenarios, and broaden carrier user bases. This collaboration has not only improved user experiences but also increased carriers' revenues.

The AI-Centric Network solution from Huawei offers a new approach for carriers to revamp their network infrastructure. This solution aims to accommodate the increasing demand for bandwidth, low latency, coverage, and efficient O&M posed by surging AI applications.

It facilitates the prompt evolution of telecom service models, aiding carriers in capitalising on AI-driven developments.

With advancements in 5G-A, cloud, and AI technologies, Huawei is proposing a three-layer technology architecture for carriers transforming from traditional connectivity service providers to digital service providers. This architecture is intended to unlock new business avenues and drive growth in nascent sectors.

Huawei is also showcasing its capabilities in industrial intelligence, providing 83 industry showcases and releasing ten major solutions intended for diverse industry applications to facilitate intelligent transformation collaboratively with its partners.

The company's consumer business is also under the spotlight, displaying a selection of flagship products.

From foldable phones to innovations in fitness, health, photography, and creative arts, Huawei is highlighting how technology can augment daily life experiences.

Representing a human-centric approach to technology development, Huawei is committed to providing user-friendly consumer products as it moves further into 2025.

Developing technology to enhance smart experiences across numerous user scenarios and building consumer trust are primary objectives for the brand.

Commercial deployments of 5G-Advanced and the integration of AI are set to accelerate in 2025, with Huawei working alongside carriers and partners globally to expedite the shift towards an intelligent world.
