Ignion introduces AI-powered Oxion platform at Embedded World 2024
At the Embedded World 2024 conference in Nuremberg, IoT antenna innovator Ignion unleashed its new AI-powered platform, Oxion. The platform, which is powered by AWS, utilises artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in real time to simplify the antenna integration design process, mitigating wireless connectivity issues and hastening developers' path to market.
With the ability to predict performance accurately and provide device-specific design guidance, Oxion reduces the risks associated with the design process. This is made possible through the employment of proprietary algorithms that capitalise on the real-world experience gained from facilitating more than 50 million wireless devices.
Oxion breaks away from the conventions of simply delivering static component datasheets, offering an interactive digital twin that adapts perfectly to the exact device requirements. The platform is designed to be easy to use and is free to access, a triumph made possible through a grant from the European Union Innovation Council's Accelerator program. At its core, the real-time results engine is powered by special algorithms developed using the expertise of Barcelona-based AI/ML experts Basetis.

Beyond simply enabling developers to meet their projects' RF specifications, Oxion empowers users regardless of their RF expertise level, making the design process as easy as building with LEGO. The platform's real-time drag-and-drop functionality, in combination with immediate performance feedback, enables developers to modify the design and decide on the antenna component, placement, clearance, and PCB size. Once registered, users receive custom recommendations suited to the specific device being constructed, transforming Oxion into a copilot for developers and guiding them from concept to production.
Further proving its user-friendliness, Oxion renders the procurement of Bill-of-Materials as easy as reaching out to Ignion's distribution channels directly. It even allows multiple users to manage and compare multiple projects all through one dashboard. Thus, the design process is effectively de-risked, eliminating endless trial-and-error steps and allowing users to nail wireless connectivity right from the outset.
