iwGROUP names John Horsman Account Director for iwCONNECT
iwGROUP has appointed John Horsman as Account Director as it builds out iwCONNECT, a division that combines telecoms services with wider technology delivery.
Horsman has more than 25 years of experience across telecoms and IT. iwGROUP said he previously held senior leadership roles at Orange and Vodafone. The company said his background covers mobile, voice, data, cybersecurity, and AI-based communications.
Horsman began his career at Pitney Bowes, according to iwGROUP. The company said he received an "International Sales Leader" award before moving to Orange.
iwGROUP also pointed to his work delivering solutions for enterprise clients during his time at Orange. It said he built long-term client relationships across the sector.
Technology focus
iwGROUP said Horsman has worked with VoIP and unified communications. The company also listed smart call routing and advanced analytics. It said he has experience with AI-driven telephony systems.
The appointment follows the launch of iwCONNECT. iwGROUP described iwCONNECT as a division that combines telecoms and technology services in a single offering.
iwGROUP said iwCONNECT covers AI-powered telephony, VoIP, smart call routing and IVR. It also includes real-time analytics, voice-to-text transcription and CRM integration, according to the company. iwGROUP said iwCONNECT also links with workplace technology and proptech services.
iwGROUP set out iwCONNECT as part of a wider "one partner" approach. It said the approach brings together connectivity, workplace technology, digital transformation and proptech services under one framework.
iwGROUP also said it manages each stage of a customer engagement. It listed design and installation, plus ongoing support and maintenance.
Leadership comments
iwGROUP's leadership team positioned Horsman's arrival as part of its plans for iwCONNECT.

Chris Burfield also commented on Horsman's early contribution following the appointment.

Commercial real estate
iwGROUP linked iwCONNECT to its work with commercial real estate organisations, alongside customers in other industries. It said the division forms part of a broader technology stack that also includes workplace systems and proptech services.
The company positioned integrated telecoms and technology delivery as a way to reduce fragmentation across vendors. It also said customers can receive end-to-end support under the same provider.
iwGROUP did not disclose financial details linked to the appointment or provide targets for iwCONNECT's growth. The company said Horsman will focus on taking iwCONNECT into the market.
