Connect Fibre has announced the launch of Wi-Fi 7 for all its contracted fibre broadband packages following extensive testing.
The broadband provider aims to keep its commitment to fair pricing by offering Wi-Fi 7 at no additional cost to customers on contracted packages. This strategic move aims to remove pricing barriers, enabling wider access to the latest technological advancements.
With a focus on enhancing customer choice and flexibility, Connect Fibre offers a 24-month contract for lower monthly prices and a 12-month contract for more contractual agility. Additionally, Connect Fibre has upgraded its entry-level package to 250Mbps while maintaining the same pricing as the previous 150Mbps offer on a 24-month contract. Their premium package reaches speeds of up to 2000Mbps.
Wi-Fi 7 promises substantial improvements in wireless technology via upgraded radio technology and newly available radio frequencies, resulting in clearer and interference-free connectivity. Consumers are expected to experience benefits such as multi-gigabit speeds, lowered latency for real-time applications, and increased capacity for more simultaneous connections. This makes Wi-Fi 7 particularly conducive to environments rife with smart devices and in use-cases like online gaming, AR/VR, and video conferencing.
Stefan Stanislawski, CEO of Connect Fibre, expressed the significance of the launch, stating, "The launch of Wi-Fi 7 is a game-changer, and we're proud to be leading the charge in bringing this cutting-edge technology to our customers. At Connect Fibre, innovation and customer experience are at the heart of everything we do. We believe everyone should have access to the best possible connectivity without barriers or premium pricing. With Wi-Fi 7, we're not just keeping up with the future – we're shaping it."
