Fluke Networks unveils Versiv kits to boost EMEA data centres

Fri, 12th Sep 2025

Fluke Networks has launched its Versiv Data Centre Kits across the EMEA region, targeting connectivity and uptime in both hyperscale and enterprise data centres.

The Versiv Data Centre Kits are aimed at helping users identify and troubleshoot potential connectivity issues in copper and fibre networks before they result in service disruption. Fluke Networks said that these tools are designed to support the rapid expansion of data centres, influenced by the growing adoption of artificial intelligence and cloud technologies within the sector.

New kit offerings

The three key products launching as part of the Versiv Data Centre Kits include the Fibre and Copper Commissioning and Troubleshooting Kit, the Fibre Inspection Kit, and the MPO Maintenance and Troubleshooting Kit. Each is tailored to address distinct requirements throughout the lifecycle of a data centre, with a focus on both reliability and operational efficiency.

The Fibre and Copper Commissioning and Troubleshooting Kit is intended to optimise copper and fibre networks at all stages, from initial setup and commissioning to ongoing maintenance and upgrades. The company stated that this kit is designed to verify performance and facilitate the troubleshooting necessary to ensure peak operation during moves, additions, or system upgrades.

The Fibre Inspection Kit is presented as a solution to mitigate fibre optic failures caused by end-face contamination - identified as a leading cause of network performance issues in high-density environments. According to Fluke Networks, the kit equips technicians to conduct inspections, cleaning, and verification of fibre ends in compliance with recommended industry practices.

The introduction of the MPO Maintenance and Troubleshooting Kit is aimed at high-density data centre environments, offering the ability to reduce multi-fibre trunk testing time by as much as 80% through automation. This kit focuses on simplifying large-scale trunk cable testing processes, which is increasingly important as data centre sizes increase.

Support for emerging connector standards

To accompany the kit launches, Fluke Networks is also releasing accessories that are compatible with Very Small Form Factor (VSFF) connectors, including MDC and SN types. These connectors enable data centres to expand their connection density without sacrificing performance standards. With these accessories, technicians using the CertiFibre Pro Optical Loss Test Set will be able to perform the recommended single-jumper reference method for testing, and also to inspect and clean new-generation connectors such as MMC, MDC, and SN designs.

According to Fluke Networks, these enhancements are meant to directly address the escalating complexity and density found in modern data centres. As facilities scale to encompass tens of thousands of fibre connections, the risk of contamination and subsequent network failure increases, making proactive inspection and ongoing maintenance critical factors for reducing downtime.

Meeting growing demands

"With over 9,000 data centres worldwide and AI, cloud, and hyperscale technologies driving explosive growth, infrastructure teams are under unprecedented pressure," said Nigel Hedges, Application and Technical Specialist, Fluke Networks. "The new Versiv Data Centre Kits are designed to help technicians and engineers meet that challenge head-on - equipping them with future-ready tools to prevent failures, speed up troubleshooting, and ensure high-density fibre connections are clean, tested, and reliable. These kits are about more than just tools - they're about enabling uptime, performance, and long-term resilience in the data centres powering the next decade of innovation."

Fluke Networks stated its commitment to providing tools that are designed to keep pace with technological advances in the data centre sector. The company noted that its solutions cater to a variety of needs, ranging from installation to reconfiguration, as well as troubleshooting phases of network lifecycle management.

The launch comes as the data centre business in the EMEA region is forecasted to more than double by 2030, with a projected value of GBP £459.7 billion. Industry stakeholders are facing additional demands on reliability, speed, and efficiency due to the ongoing growth in digital services, further reinforcing the need for robust testing and maintenance solutions.

Fluke Networks indicated that purchasing the kits collectively may provide cost savings compared to individual component purchases, with potential reductions of up to 15% off the manufacturer's suggested retail pricing.
