Radware, a leading provider of cybersecurity and application delivery solutions, has deepened its partnership with NOS, among Portugal's biggest communications and entertainment conglomerates. The telecom trailblazer plans to bolster its Radware security defences to better protect traffic across its rapidly expanding global cloud infrastructure and enhance its reseller potential.
As Portugal's top 5G provider, NOS boasts 5.9 million mobile clients, 1.6 million television users, and more than 5.3 million households equipped with fibre-to-the-home (FTTH). The firm selected Radware attributed to its top-notch technology, expert knowledge, and excellent customer service.
As part of the expanded agreement, NOS has amplified its investment in Radware’s DefensePro DDoS protection and emergency response team services. Additionally, the telecommunication giant has purchased Radware’s Managed Security Service Provider Portal Solution; this allows the carrier to offer DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) detection and mitigation to its consumers as a supervised program.
Radware finalised the agreement in association with its OEM partnership with Check Point Software Technologies, a pioneer in AI-driven, cloud-delivered cybersecurity platform solutions.
Paulo Ribeiro, director of fixed network engineering at NOS, endorsed Radware’s offerings, stating: “Not only does Radware offer superior DDoS protection, but Radware’s customer support has been pivotal in increasing the safety of NOS' infrastructure and its customers.” He further voiced his trust in the company, citing its swift response time, the strengthening of NOS's network, and the unique competitive advantage of offering customers guarantee against DDoS attacks.

Over the past two years, Radware has twice been named the technology leader in Quadrant Knowledge Solutions' Spark Matrix™ for DDoS Mitigation. Its DefensePro product offers automated DDoS protection against various cyber threats including Burst, DNS, and TLS/SSL assault, ransom DDoS campaigns, IoT botnets, and other types of cybersecurity threats.
The security firm also provides 24x7x365 emergency response services, with a team of security experts offering proactive support for customers combating a wide range of application and network layer attacks.
