SecurEnvoy appoints Giuseppe Sesta to drive Western Europe

SecurEnvoy has appointed Giuseppe Sesta as Regional Sales Manager for Western Europe as it looks to expand its presence in the region.
He will lead sales growth, broaden the partner network and target new customers across Western Europe. His first-year priorities include building channel relationships, increasing deal sizes in selected sectors and strengthening SecurEnvoy's position in a market shaped by data sovereignty concerns and tighter regulation.
The appointment comes as organisations across Europe face mounting compliance demands under rules including GDPR, NIS2 and DORA. These frameworks have increased scrutiny of how companies control access to sensitive systems and data, particularly in industries handling critical infrastructure or regulated information.
Western Europe has become a complex market for access management suppliers because regulation, customer expectations and cyber maturity vary by country. As a result, vendors are relying more heavily on local resellers and distributors that understand national requirements and procurement patterns.
Sesta will focus on building a channel network across the region and working with partners to tailor SecurEnvoy's market approach by territory. The company views those relationships as central to extending its reach in countries where compliance requirements and operational needs differ sharply.
Key growth sectors include energy, transport, financial services, healthcare, digital infrastructure and public administration. These industries are among those most directly affected by NIS2 and similar rules, which place greater emphasis on access control, audit trails and incident response.
Identity and access management has become more important as organisations move away from older network-based security models. In practice, that means paying closer attention to how users are verified, which systems they can access and where authentication data is stored.
Sesta said the regional strategy must reflect local conditions rather than apply a uniform model across Europe.
"European markets cannot be approached with a one-size-fits-all strategy," said Giuseppe Sesta, Regional Sales Manager, Western Europe, SecurEnvoy. "I'm looking forward to building on SecurEnvoy's strong foundations in Europe. Success depends on working with partners who understand local regulations, language, and customer priorities. By strengthening our channel, we have a significant opportunity to grow our presence and help organisations meet both their security and compliance objectives."
SecurEnvoy is positioning itself around rising demand from customers seeking tighter control over where sensitive information resides. In Europe, debates over sovereignty and reliance on non-EU cloud providers have become more prominent as regulation has tightened and geopolitical concerns have grown.
Sesta linked that shift to broader changes in the security market, where identity has become a central point of control.
"In today's environment, identity is the new control point for security," said Sesta. "As organisations move away from traditional network-based security models, the focus shifts to continuously verifying who is accessing systems, under what conditions, and with what level of access. At the same time, regulatory pressure is driving a clear need for organisations to maintain control over their data and ensure it remains within their own infrastructure or within EU boundaries."
He also pointed to a change in customer buying behaviour, with some organisations reassessing where authentication and access data is processed and stored. That trend has helped sustain interest in systems that can be deployed on premises or kept under direct customer control.
"Customers are increasingly aware of the risks associated with data leaving the EU," he said. "They are looking for solutions that allow them to retain control of authentication and access data within their own environments. This is where SecurEnvoy's strengths, particularly in on-premises deployment, provide a clear advantage."
Michael Downs, Vice President at SecurEnvoy, said the company sees Western Europe as a market where regulation and commercial demand are increasingly linked.
"Giuseppe brings valuable insight into the regulatory and commercial dynamics shaping the European market. His focus on channel development and his understanding of the importance of data sovereignty and compliance will be instrumental as we continue to grow across Western Europe. We see significant demand from organisations looking to strengthen access control while meeting increasingly complex regulatory requirements," said Michael Downs, VP, SecurEnvoy.
