Sipcom launches HALO Operator Connect service for Microsoft Teams
Sipcom, a provider of cloud communications and collaboration solutions, has unveiled a new service, HALO Operator Connect, for Microsoft Teams. As part of Advania, one of Microsoft's most significant partners in the UK, Sipcom aims to help businesses incorporate a public switched phone network (PSTN) into Microsoft Teams. The announcement places HALO as the newest provider available on Operator Connect.
With no upfront investment required in hardware or software, HALO Operator Connect offers a full-on virtual collaboration across any device or location which simplifies the provisioning and management of PSTN calling.
Businesses can now manage all their PSTN calling needs from a single portal, with the tool designed to offer crystal-clear voice quality regardless of distance.
According to Sipcom Product Director, Mike Harvey, the introduction of Operator Connect to the HALO platform adds significant value for their Channel partners and customers, aligning furthermore with Microsoft's voice strategy.

The HALO Operator Connect has been specifically developed with Sipcom's Channel partners in mind. As well as reducing costs, the new service also provides a quicker route to market for businesses. Those organisations that cannot become a direct Operator Connect Partner can re-sell HALO joined with Sipcom's other voice services.
According to Sipcom, the HALO Operator Connect is scalable and can cater to businesses of all sizes. To seamlessly integrate PSTN calling into Microsoft Teams through Operator Connect, it can deliver a next-gen calling experience.
Moreover, administrators can easily choose and authorise HALO as the preferred operator by clicking on the HALO tile in the Microsoft Teams Admin Centre.
The announcement sees the UK launch of HALO Operator Connect. Sipcom has planned a broader geographical rollout in 2024.
