Wavenet & 8x8 join forces to enhance enterprise communications

Fri, 24th Oct 2025

Wavenet has announced a strategic partnership with 8x8 to provide enterprise communications solutions across Europe.

The partnership brings together Wavenet, a managed services and security provider headquartered in the United Kingdom, and 8x8, a global platform provider for business communications.

This collaboration follows recognition for Wavenet as 8x8 EMEA Resell Partner of the Year 2025 and 8x8 EMEA Contact Centre Partner of the Year 2025, reflecting what both companies describe as excellence in delivery and a customer-centric approach.

European partnership

Under the partnership, Wavenet will deliver the 8x8 Platform for customer experience (CX) across multiple markets. The portfolio includes services such as 8x8 Voice for Microsoft Teams, unified communications, CPaaS (Communications Platform as a Service) solutions, and the 8x8 Contact Centre offering.

Wavenet has committed significant investment in its workforce, infrastructure and certifications, aiming to help organisations update their communication infrastructure, simplify operations, and roll out AI-powered customer engagement.

Customer experience

"This is a world-first partnership and a huge step forward for our customers," said Barry Ward, Director of Contact Centre, Mobile and Unified Communications solutions at Wavenet. "Working this closely with 8x8 gives us a unique ability to transform how businesses communicate, particularly those upgrading from legacy systems, and wishing to enhance their customer and staff experiences."

According to Wavenet, the partnership is designed to support organisations looking to modernise operations and adapt to digital transformation requirements. The focus is on enabling both customer-facing and internal collaboration tools for enterprises migrating from older communication platforms.

Channel partnership

"Wavenet's strong dedication to innovation and customer success makes them a trusted and highly valued partner," said Emily Masterton, Head of Channel EMEA at 8x8. "We are deeply grateful for our partnership with Wavenet, whose vision and expertise continue to elevate what's possible for our joint customers. Achieving this strategic status as 8x8's first partner of this kind highlights their leadership in driving the future of enterprise communications."

8x8 has positioned the partnership as an example of industry collaboration for scaling business communications and enhancing customer experience in the enterprise sector.

Secure and scalable

Through this agreement, the two companies are expected to offer secure, scalable, and intelligent communications solutions, building on their respective expertise and credentials. Both parties note the increasing importance of communications platforms that can adapt rapidly to the needs of digitally-driven enterprises and evolving workforce requirements.

Wavenet brings its experience in managed services and security, with emphasis on compliance and support. 8x8's platform provides unified communications, calling, meetings, and customer engagement technologies that integrate with business applications.

The aim is to help enterprises not only transition from legacy telephony and contact centre systems but also access new tools for staff and customer engagement across digital channels.

Both organisations acknowledge that the demands of today's digital workplace require flexible and robust communications systems, as businesses continue to adopt hybrid and remote working practices.
